The Brethren in Christ began over 200 years ago as a group of people who believed that God was calling them to make a radical break from the world and from the religious establishment of their day. They wanted to live as "people of the Book", loving Christ with their hearts (not just their minds), and living out the realities of what they saw in the early church. Specifically, the B.I.C. are committed to following Jesus wholeheartedly, not conforming to the values of the world, living out relational community as the people of God, loving one another, and promoting peace. Today there are over 260 congregations in the U.S., and another 350 worldwide.  The Ransom Creek Community Church is priveleged to be a part of this greater church family.
